The Pink Muse: Solestice Nails and Day Spa Review

Long break from work!

I had a chance to visit this nail spa for a manicure with my friend Jo. Nail spas are pretty rampant in BF and I've been through quite a few good (and bad) ones. Solestice Nails and Day Spa is located along the stretch of the popular Aguirre Avenue, along with the pubs and unique restaurants inside BF Homes. My friend was able to snag a deal in Groupon priced 200 pesos which is inclusive of a foot/hand spa, manicure and pedicure. I really thought it was bargain, though I wasn't able to get one for myself, I opted to have my nails french tipped (costs 180 pesos). For this kind of spas, I found the price ranges fair, significantly cheaper than Nail-a-Holics and California Nails and Day Spa, but pricey compared to your next-door salon.

The spa opens pretty late. We arrived around 11am and it still wasn't open. However, the staff was accommodating and asked for our number so they could contact us later in the day when it was open already. Ambiance-wise, I found Solestice's interiors pretty, roomy and relaxing. The place was themed green and purple, and all the details such as the decors, throw pillows were carefully matched for the theme. Upon sitting in our sofas, we were given complimentary drinks which I really appreciated because spas don't usually offer drinks.

Service for me took longer than the average nail spa. We entered the place by 12:15 and finished around 1:50. Although I noticed that my manicurist had difficulty doing french tips on my nails as she removed and repainted several times, it was only now that I appreciated her work because I really like how near my nails look like right now. Sometimes being meticulous pays off. It's been a week and my nails still look pretty neat (at least from afar). Jo seemed satisfied with her nails too since I remembered she gave a big tip (hehe). I'd also like to add that they have other services such as body massages, paraffin, nail art and gel manicure/pedicure. You might want to check them out.

If you live in the south, don't like long waiting times for a staff to attend to you, like comfy ambiance, don't mind waiting more than average for your nails to get done, then I recommend this spa!
