5 Beauty and Health Benefits of Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera Moistfull Set from Etude House
This Aloe Vera Set from Etude House is the real-deal freebie!
One day, I decided to shop in Etude House, one of the leading Korean beauty product outlets here in the Philippines. I was just looking for a good BB Cream and I ended up buying not only that certain BB Cream (I will post more about it soon), but I bought around 3,000 Php worth of cosmetics (oops!). I'm not usually a splurging type of person when it comes to makeup. I normally buy drugstore brands (anything cheap and good quality, I go for it!). However, this was not the case when I went for a visit to Etude House.

As a result, I was able to get this freebie from theme, they call this the Aloe Moistfull set. It includes a soothing gel, soothing skin (a toner perhaps?), and a soothing lotion. I tried all of them and they worked really well, and I realized that it was because it was made from Aloe Vera.

Aloe Vera Benefits
Aloe Vera is a type of water-filled plant with numerous health benefits!
Aloe Vera is a type of succulent (or water-filled plant) with numerous benefits. It contains numerous vitamins such as A, B, C, and E. It also contains folic acid and choline. Some of the minerals that Aloe Vera contains are calcium, magnesium and Zinc.

Here are a some of the beauty benefits of Aloe Vera:
1. Soothing allergies and irritations - aloe vera are moisture packed and can help soothe itchiness and other irritations of the skin. It can also soothe burns and other skin problems such as acne.

2. Prevent scarring and stretch marks, and other age-related marks - aloe vera's moisturizing properties helps reduce marks caused by sudden stretching of skin due to weight gain or even wound scars. It can also help reduce wrinkles due to aging.

3. An effective body and face moisturizer - the insides of an aloe vera plant are mostly made of water, which means it's a good moisturizer. If your skin is acne prone, water-based moisturizers are a good way to go since water-based moisturizers don't block up the pores.

4. A good eye makeup remover and eye refresher - the soothing gel in my Aloe Vera product is a good eye makeup remover. I also use it as an eye cream to refresh my under eye, and reduce under eye circles.

5. Speed up hair growth - Aloe Vera can also be used to speed up hair growth and reduce hear breakage. We all know that once hair is moisturized, it will not be prone to damage, dandruff or breakage.

These are just some of the beauty benefits of Aloe Vera! If you cannot cultivate your own aloe vera or buy a plant at home, aloe vera-based products are good alternatives as well.
